young, stocky, racist, anti-semitic, anti-government, ultra-religious, bossy, fan of guns… So is the man who revealed the secret documents that have drawn the colors to the United States from the military base where he worked. First, copying them by hand and later with photographs. All this has been advanced by ‘The Washington Post’ this Wednesday after interviewing two members of the group that this young man governed in Discord.
In this exclusive from the American newspaper, the statements of one of his ‘subordinates’ are collected in the private chat. “I would not say that his intention was to denounce, not at all. There was no big conspiracy like (Edward) Snowden’s. Not a Russian or Ukrainian agent. But I did think that the government overreached with many things,” said this young man under anonymity.
His intention, however, he insists, was not to put Washington in check before the world, if not rather brag and “protect” your “web family”. He called himself ‘OG’ which stands for “original gangsta” in internet slang. AND it was not this young man who leaked the documents to the worldbut they were passing from one group to another in Discord until jump to the media, weeks later. In fact, in the photos there would be clues for investigators.
The fact that he ends up in jail, for some, would show that the leak was not intentional by the United States, but, as Yago RodrÃguez, director of ‘The Political Room’, has pointed out, “it is strange that in the same military base you can access such a variety of information, from missiles to strategic purchasing information. Added to this is what Blas Moreno, co-director of ‘El Orden Mundial’, has described as “international ridicule without palliatives, a huge security failure in that base.” For the bizarre, others do not rule out a “deception operationMeanwhile, the White House continues to try to put out the diplomatic fire.
