The Israeli Army has bombarded the Gaza Strip and southern Lebanon this past dawn, in response to rockets launched from the Strip and from southern Lebanon.

According to the Israeli Army, the bombardments have hit targets of the Palestinian group Hamas in southern Lebanon and the Gaza Strip.

The Lebanese newspaper L’Orient le Jour, for its part, reports that the missiles would have hit open spaces near the Rashidiya Palestinian refugee camp, with no damage reported so far.

The tension in Israel and Palestine has increased in recent days in full celebration of Ramadan, after the Israeli Police twice broke into the Al Aqsa Mosque, located in the Esplanade of Mosques in Jerusalem.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have accused the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), with a presence in the Gaza Strip, of being behind the launch of 44 rockets from southern Lebanon.

Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has assured that Israel “will strike back against its enemies.”

The Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) has strongly condemned the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) air strikes on Lebanon that took place early Friday morning, and has accused Israel of “violating the sovereignty of brotherly Arab countries”. .
