The Russian army has attacked at dawn Kryvyi Rih, the hometown of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, with five Iranian-made Shahed kamikaze drones that hit their targets without causing deaths or injuries, the head of the city’s Military Administration, Oleksandr Vilkul, has reported. “Thanks to the operations of the air defense system, one of the enemy drones was shot down“, explained the military, who added that five other unmanned devices were not intercepted. He added that “thank God, there are no casualties” and asked citizens not to share images of the effects of the attack so as not to give information that could be used by Russia while the authorities work to repair the damage caused.

The head of the Kryviy Rih Military Administration, a industrial city located about 420 kilometers southeast of Kyivstated that “all important infrastructure, public transportation, and social and medical institutions in the city function stably despite the attack.”
