The Russian Deputy Foreign Minister, Medvedev, has assured that Russia and the US are in conflict for the West’s involvement in the war in Ukraine and has stated that the nuclear risk right now is the largest in decades.
Yago Rodríguez has indicated that, in order to understand the seriousness of these threats, the context in which they are being carried out must be taken into account. “The Russian army is incapable, not only of obtaining results on the battlefield,” he explained, clarifying that the problem they now face is seeing if they are able to stop the Ukrainian offensive.
“There is a very clear contrast between these latest reports that we are seeing. The Russians are restoring T-55 main battle tanks while the Ukrainians are getting Leopard 2 tanksmuch more modern”, has clarified.
A situation that could be detrimental to Russia. “We will see if they are capable of coping with what is coming,” she explained, making it clear that, if they cannot, “she is quite right that we are going to face a nuclear problem”.
