Residents of the Penza region were banned from launching drones. According to RBC, the corresponding decree was signed by Governor Oleg Melnichenko.

The ban does not apply to copters used by the authorities, as well as individuals “under agreements with state authorities, local governments and organizations subordinate to them.” It is also allowed to use UAVs “to ensure the safety of pipeline, railway transport.”

The measure will be in effect until the removal of the basic readiness regime, which has been in effect in the Penza region and most other regions of Russia since October 19 last year. The governor will personally supervise the implementation of the decree.

The ban on the use of drones was introduced by the authorities of the Perm and Primorsky Territories, Oryol, Rostov, Smolensk, Kaluga Regions and other regions. Most of them made such a decision after the presidential decree on four levels of response: from the level of basic readiness to martial law (the latter operates in new regions – the LPR, DPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions).

Sanctions for violation of the use of airspace are described in Art. 11.4 of the Code of Administrative Offenses, if “the action does not contain a criminally punishable act.” Individual violators face fines of up to 50 thousand rubles.
