Three arrested for terrorism after the explosion of a car that has caused a death in Liverpool

The explosion occurred this Sunday in a taxi that had just left the hospital. In addition to the fatality, another person has been seriously injured. For now, the Police do not rule out any hypothesis.

Three men were arrested on Sunday for their alleged relationship with the explosion that occurred next to a Liverpool hospital that caused the death of one person and seriously injured another.

The incident occurred at 11:00 local time at the entrance to Liverpool Women’s Hospital, allegedly in a taxi that had just left the hospital. The victims are the passenger of the taxi, that died on the spot and that has not yet been identified, and the driver of the vehicle, a male who he was hurt.

Police have confirmed that the arrested son three men aged 21, 26 and 29, who were arrested under the Anti-Terrorism Act in Liverpool.

According to the authorities, the antiterrorist unit has undertaken the investigations as a precaution and it will still “take time” to clarify the causes. For now, the Police do not rule out any hypothesis.
