A man living in the city of Ocala, in northern Florida (USA), was arrested after detectives with a search warrant entered his home and found more than 220,000 printed images of child pornography in boxes weighing 1,180 kilosThe Marion County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) reported Monday.
paul zitel72, has been arrested and charged with “25 counts of possession of child pornography,” photographic material he kept in boxes or stacked in his bedroom, according to the MCSO.
Police officers also seized a printer “showing signs of heavy use”, a computer and a digital image storage device.
Zittel was taken into custody and transferred to a county jail where he was placed on a bond of $250,000.
The investigation began last January, when a detective received information about the presence on the Internet of several files that showed “child abuse material”. The investigation led to the defendant’s IP address.
In the search, the MCSO statement said, detectives “located countless printed photographs of child pornography that were arranged in large piles and boxes throughout the bedroom.”
