At least one dead and one injured in a car explosion outside a Liverpool hospital

UK police are investigating how a possible terrorist attack lthe explosion of a car in front of a hospital from Liverpool that leaves, for the moment, a deceased and an injured person.

Specifically, the events occurred around 11:00 am this Sunday in the Women’s Hospital from the city. The vehicle that has exploded is a taxi that had been parked right in front of the hospital building.

According to a statement from the Merseyside police, they have been alerted to the explosion at 10:59 a.m. and have moved to the scene immediately along with rescue and medical teams.

Upon arrival they were able to verify that a person had killed by the explosion while the one another had been injured. This has been transferred to the hospital, although according to said statement her life is not in danger.

The Antiterrorist Police has taken over the investigation. Meanwhile, some roads have had to be closed and a security perimeter has been created near the hospital.

The agents ask for calm to the citizenship, without ceasing to be vigilant.
