Euskaraz irakurri: Sanchez Zelenskirekin elkartuko da gaur Kieven
The President of the Spanish Government, Pedro Sánchez, meets today with his Ukrainian counterpart, Volodímir Zelenski, in Kiev, one day after one year from the start of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
Sánchez arrived in the Ukrainian capital early in the morning to convey Spain’s support for Ukraine.
In addition, the Spanish president will visit other cities that have particularly suffered from the Russian attacks and will appear before journalists in kyiv together with the Ukrainian president at 12:30 p.m.
“I return to kyiv a year after the start of the war,” Sánchez wrote on his Twitter account. “We will be next to Ukraine and its people until peace returns to Europe,” added the president along with a video that shows him getting off the train and walking along the platform.
This is Sánchez’s second visit to Ukraine, where he was already on April 21 of last year. The President of the Spanish Government is the third foreign leader to visit Kiev this week, after the President of the United States, Joe Biden, and the head of the Italian Government, Giorgia Meloni, visited Kiev on Monday and Tuesday, respectively.
