Russian President Vladimir Putin will deliver his first message on the state of the nation since the beginning almost a year ago -24th February- of the military campaign in Ukraine.
The intervention, which will begin at noon and last for an hour, will undoubtedly be marked by the historic visit to Ukraine on Monday by the US president, Joe Biden.
Putin, who canceled the annual press conference at the end of last year, does not address both houses of the Russian Parliament from april 2021.
Putin will give his opinion on the progress of the military campaign, the tense international situation, the results of government management and future plans.
At the moment there is a great secrecy about the content of the message, but it is expected that, apart from economic issues and social policies, it will focus on the military intervention and annexation last September of four Ukrainian regions: Donetsk, Lugansk, Kherson and Zaporizhia.
It is also expected to allude to Biden’s presence on Monday in kyiv and on Tuesday in Warsaw. And it is that the Kremlin maintains that in Ukraine it also fights with the NATO.

One year after the start of hostilities, Putin cannot present to the Federal Assembly great victories or great territorial gains, apart from those achieved in the first months of fighting.
Since July 2022, when the Russian army seized the bastion of Lisichansk, Russian troops have not conquered any major Ukrainian towns. Pessimism is rampant among Russian experts and bloggers.
Putin has changed the commanders of the forces fighting in Ukraine several times until at the beginning of the year he put the criticized chief of the General Staff at the head of the contingent, Valery Gerasimov. Since then, things have not improved.
The Kremlin’s goal is to gain control of the four annexed regions, although it is a long way from achieving its goal, especially in Donetsk and Kherson, where the army withdrew from the northern third of that southern region in November.
The mercenaries of Wagner they are the only ones to have achieved any notable success on the Bakhmut front, although the Ukrainian defenders are still holding out six months after the start of the assault.
The long-awaited Russian general offensive has not yet arrived and the Western tanks promised to kyiv are just around the corner.
