The Swiss chocolatier group Lindt & Sprungli began this Friday the process of dissolution of its subsidiary in Russiaa movement that would have started last summer because of the invasion of Ukraineaccording to a spokesperson for the firm to the local press.
The Zurich-based food company announced in March last year the closure of its nine stores in Russia due to the invasion of Ukraine.
Lindt guarantees that it has supported the 130 workers it employed in the country before the start of the war, helping them to find new employers.

Although the turnover of its Russian subsidiary had increased by 16% in 2021 -to 3.1 billion rubles- Lindt & Sprüngli remarked that this figure only represented 1% of the group’s income and added that the house did not have any center production in Russia.
