Peskov specified that the speech will take place at the Gostiny Dvor, a congress hall located near Red Square, in the center of Moscow.

Traditionally, Putin delivers a State of the Nation address each year to Russian parliamentarians, in which he takes stock of the previous year and sets out the strategic roadmap for the coming months.

But in 2022 the speech was canceled in the wake of the Russian offensive in Ukraine.

On Friday, Peskov said that “of course” Russian servicemen involved in operations in Ukraine will be invited to the speech. (YO)
