An earthquake of magnitude 7.8 was registered early Monday morning in Turkey, according to information from the United States Geological Survey (USGS).
It would have a depth of 10 kilometers and the epicenter is located 23 kilometers from the Nurdağı district, southwest of Turkey.
In other countries the earthquake was felt, such as Syria and Lebanon.
According to preliminary reports, there would have been damage to various infrastructures as well as victims, however, so far there is no official information.

The Oceanographic Institute of the Ecuadorian Navy announced that the earthquake does not meet the conditions for a tsunami to be generated on the Ecuadorian coast.
