US space agency POT announced this Friday the launch of web pages in Spanish with information on aeronautics with the purpose of “inspire the next generation of explorers”.
“This is a significant step forward in our efforts to make the knowledge we’ve accumulated at NASA available to people across the country, and around the world.”said the agency’s associate administrator, Bob Pearce.
“We are making sure that as we explore and address the biggest challenges facing aviation, we are delivering benefits for all.”, he added.

The Spanish-language pages feature educational material about the work of NASA’s Aeronautical Research Mission Directorate, with a description of the agency’s priorities, including sustainable aviation.
“By presenting aeronautical information and educational materials in Spanish, we are striving to foster a diverse, bold and capable next generation of explorers”the official stated. “We are counting on this generation to help NASA carry its vision into the future”.
The agency statement recalled that “NASA has committed to achieving zero greenhouse gas emissions from the aviation sector by 2050.”.
The NASA “strives to achieve that goal by leading fields ranging from green technologies and aircraft design to composite manufacturing and sustainable fuel testing”he added.
