An Ecuadorian mother was looking for her 20-year-old daughter, who migrated to Colombia to live with her partner.
In statements with Caracol Radio, Marina Moya, from the Febres Cordero parish in the province of Los Ríos, said that her daughter had fallen in love with a man through social networks and that she made the decision to leave her home to live with him for what who settled in Popayán, Cauca.
Although they had daily communication, after the collapse on the Pan-American highway, her daughter called her crying saying that she wanted to see her and return, but that she could not. However, from one moment to another the communication between the two was cut off.
She also said that the man her daughter was with had called her saying that she was dead and had buried her.

“In a video call that he made to me, I saw that he had a black eye, I took a picture of him, but he told me that everything was fine,” he told the portal.
This is why he asked the Colombian authorities for their collaboration in the search for the young Ecuadorian woman.
Around 6:00 p.m. this Tuesday, journalist Óscar Solarte announced that the whereabouts of the young woman could be found and that she was safe and sound.
“We immediately put her in communication with her mother in the neighboring country (a very emotional moment),” he wrote. (YO)
