Increased flow in the rivers on the northeast flank of the Tungurahua volcano were detected on the afternoon of this Monday, January 23.

Meanwhile, the Secretariat for Risk Management reported that from Wednesday, January 25 to February 8, operational tests of the sirens of the Cotopaxi Volcano Early System will be carried out in the cities of Latacunga and Salcedo, in the province of Cotopaxi. , in order to verify its operation.

In addition, on Friday the 27th, at 5:15 p.m., and on Monday, January 30, at 10:30 a.m., sirens will be activated for the evacuation drill that will take place in Mulaló and Joseguango Bajo, parishes in the Latacunga canton. (YO)
