Zelensky announces a “criminal investigation” after the helicopter crash
The President of Ukraine, Volodimir Zelensky, thanked the people involved in the rescue and emergency work on Wednesday night after a helicopter crash in the Ukrainian city of Brovary, in the kyiv region, which has left about about twenty dead, including the Minister of the Interior, Denis Monarstirski.
“The rescue operation in Brovary has lasted almost nine hours (…) Hundreds of people have taken part in extinguishing the fire, searching for and rescuing the injured, carrying out the first actions,” he pointed out.
On the other hand, he explained that the Ukrainian Security Service “has launched a criminal investigation into this terrible event.” The goal of the Ukrainian authorities in cooperating between the authorized bodies “to clarify all the circumstances of the accident.”
