What is CBP One?
CBP One is a mobile application of the Office of Customs and Border Protection (CBP) that has been working since 2020 and that, as of January 12, has a new use according to the Department of Homeland Security of the United States (DHS):
It is used by migrants to request an appointment that allows them to appear at a port of entry on the border with Mexico and request entry to the United States.

The CBP One app is available at no cost from the Apple App Store or Google Play.

Who can use CBP One?
People in a state of vulnerability such as older adults with a medical condition, those who travel with their family and women who travel alone with their children, for example.
Other vulnerability criteria that the Customs and Border Protection Office will consider to authorize your entry into the United States are if you have a disability, if people have been threatened or persecuted while in Mexico or if you are a pregnant woman.

What are the ports of entry to schedule the appointment?
There are eight land ports of entry available at the US-Mexico border to schedule an appointment:
- In Arizona: Nogales
- In Texas: Brownsville, Eagle Pass, Hidalgo, Laredo and El Paso
- In California: Calexico and San Ysidro
Since when are CBP One appointments available?
It is available from January 12, but you can schedule appointments from January 18 from 9:00 am Eastern time in the United States, new appointments will be available for the next 14 days.
