After a bombardment of a building in Dnipro, the Ukrainian rescue forces recorded 44 dead and 79 injured, in addition to 20 missing people.

The attack, whose authorship was denied by the Kremlin, occurred last Saturday, when a missile destroyed an apartment building in Dnipro, devastating “more than 200 apartments,” according to Kyrylo Tymoshenko, adviser to the Ukrainian presidency.

“At 1:00 p.m. (1100 GMT), search and rescue operations at the site of the missile bombardment in the city of Dnipro were ended,” Ukrainian rescue services said on Telegram, after finding the 44 bodies in the debris, including those of five children.
The mayor of Dnipro, Borys Filatov, also confirmed the death toll of 44 on Facebook.
The bombing is so far one of the deadliest attacks since the start of the Russian invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022.
