Spanish Cooperation offers 250 scholarships for citizens of Latin America, Africa and Asia

The Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (Aecid) will soon announce some 250 study scholarships for citizens of Latin America, Africa and Asia, with a budget of 4.68 million euros (US$ 5 million).

The aid will be awarded in this 2023-2024 call for five programs: Master, Africa-Med, Diplomatic School, Music and Asale, the Aecid reported this Wednesday in a statement.

It forms part of the initiatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation of Spain, through the Aecid, to promote the training of human capital, strengthening the individual capacities of the interested parties, as well as the institutions of origin.

The Master’s program is intended for the training of public employees from Latin America and the Philippines so that they can study in person in Spain.

Applications may be submitted between January 24 and February 10, as for the Africa-Med program, for training and research stays in Spain for citizens of Africa and the Middle East.

The scholarships of the Diplomatic School program can be applied for from March 7 to 22 by citizens of Latin America, Africa, the Middle East and the Philippines to study the Interuniversity Master’s Degree in Diplomacy and International Relations at the Diplomatic School of Spain.

In the same period, citizens of Latin America, the United States, Equatorial Guinea and the Philippines who want to take the Master’s Degree in Hispanic Lexicography and Linguistic Correction at the headquarters of the Spanish language academies associated with the Royal Spanish Academy (Real Academia Española) may apply for the Asale program scholarships. RAE).

The grants for excellence in the Music program, aimed at Latin American students at the Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofía in Madrid, may be requested between April 17 and 28.
