The detainee, who bought a flight in Turkey with a stopover in Colombia, was intercepted at the airport on his way to La Aurora airport in Guatemala City.

“Ali Ali” is designated by Russia as “a member of the self-styled terrorist group Islamic State” and has a red notice from Interpol, issued by a Russian court, according to information from the Colombian Police.

He also participated in a jihadist group (Jaish Muhajireen wal-Ansar) that from Iraq “commits terrorist activities” and in Syria the group “actively used sabotage methods through violent acts, as a result of which civilians were killed”, according to the information .

In 2013, Taranetc, according to the information provided, left Russia to go to Turkey and then to Syria where he joined this Islamic identity card and, after dissolving, ended up joining the ranks of the Islamic State where he acted “as a foreign fighter and it was estimated that it had a strong arsenal of firearms and ammunition. “
