The negligence of a couple has inflamed the Colombian population. This after it became known that on the night of January 1 a seven-month-old baby died after being locked in a vehicle.

The cause of death was identified as gas inhalation. The couple upon entering the vehicle also fainted.

A motel worker noticed the vehicle running and went in to verify what he found the body of the woman on the floor and the man on the bed. “When checking the vehicle, he found a minor who was not breathing inside, he immediately proceeded to take her to the pediatric clinic where the medical staff told him that she had no vital signs,” the report delivered to the Police indicated. .

The body was taken to the morgue for an autopsy. According to preliminary reports, the couple would be in a state of drunkenness as well as possible drug use, which they sought to verify.

The director of the Colombian Institute for Family Welfare (ICBF) Cesar Section, Gabriel Castilla Castillo, explained that the woman was the mother of the baby while the companion had no relationship with the minor.

It is currently being investigated whether the mother has criminal responsibility for what happened.
