Winter storm Elliot has caused about 50 deaths in the United States of America this Christmas. Besides, has left heavy snowfall and hurricane-force winds across much of the country. It has been the coldest Christmas Americans have experienced in many years.
The most damaged area has been southwestern New York, about 27 bodies have been found there. These have been found in houses, vehicles and on the street. In Buffalo, despite being used to the cold, they have had to close the airport due to snowfall.
