What is DVB-T2 / HEVC? The new standard means better picture and sound quality
“DVB-T2 / HEVC is a new international broadcasting standard, which allows the transmission of more channels, and also guarantees better picture and sound quality” -.
“This standard, provided that the Internet is connected, also allows recipients to access new functions of the so-called hybrid television, such as stopping the current program on demand, participating in voting with the use of a remote control or displaying additional information about the actors appearing in the broadcast production.”

How to check if the TV is receiving DVB-T2 / HEVC?
You need the right equipment to receive the new digital TV standard. As the experts of the Digital Poland Association emphasize, people who bought theirs after 2019 do not have to replace it. However, in the case of older receivers – even those with modern flat screens – it should be checked whether it is adapted to the reception of the new standard.
How to do it? Just go to the website, where through a special search engine you can find out whether a given model is adapted to the reception of the new DVB-T2 / HEVC broadcasting standard. “If the TV set cannot receive DVB-T2 / HEVC signal, its owner should buy a new model or a special set-top box” – explains Michał Kanownik.
