As he notes, such cooperation may mean that the studio responsible for the game, Golden Egg, intends to faithfully reproduce the pope’s life. The creators add that one of the advantages of the simulator is to be “high realism”.
– We have global aspirations, therefore, from the very beginning of our activity, we have put emphasis on the development and presence in the markets of North America, Western Europe and Asia. All our productions are originally written in English. It is in English-speaking countries that we have the largest group of recipients. We have many devoted and committed fans in Poland. Pope simulator – what awaits game users?
The production is therefore to be strongly inspired by real events and people. The center of the story is, of course, John Paul II, who was elected the head of the Holy See at that time.
In the game, the user will be able to play the role of a representative of the Catholic Church and decide on the election of the Pope. This, in turn, is to introduce the player to the “world of intricate political relations, public life and complicated choices.” At the beginning of the simulator, of course, a conclave is won. “Vatican Gardens” is to debut in 2022 on PC and on Steam. Initially, the title was supposed to be “Pope Simulator”, but the producers decided to change it to keep the “seriousness” of the title. Golden Eggs Games has also published a video material showing the first fragments of the simulator gameplay.
