Telefonica Spain This week will open a period for its employees to benefit from the four-day shift (32 hours) after successfully completing the 150-employee pilot program that began last fall.
The operator will give until July 15 to adopt this program, which will start in september and it will become one more work modality within the firm, as market sources have confirmed to Europa Press.
The impulse to this program has been given after verifying the satisfaction of the employees who have taken advantage of the pilot of this day, by means of which give up a part of their salary equivalent to just over four hourscompared to the five and a half hours that reduce the working day.
The firm will establish quarterly periods in which new employees will be able to benefit from the program, the next one in December, or opt to leave it.
Telefónica is one of the first large Spanish companies to launch this type of program, whose promoters highlight its mental health benefitsthe family reconciliationas well as the sustainability by reducing the number of trips.
