Exactly 17 months have passed since the loud premiere of Cyberpunk 2077. The game is getting better and better from month to month. The creators managed to eliminate the most annoying bugs, and the players finally got the long-awaited version for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.

It must be honestly said that the greatest part of this amount is prpaid for excellent sales of Cyberpunk 2077 in 2020 (the company did not pay them last year) and this is why the ratio of remuneration for the management board to the generated net profit was so high.
Last year, the management board members of the Polish gaming industry giant also boasted the highest average salary among all companies listed on the WSE. It amounted to PLN 1.48 million per month. For comparison, as calculated by BI.pl, Allegro managers collected an average of 902,000 in the same period. PLN per month.
Of course, the company’s president, Adam Kiciński, got the most richer. In 2021, he received a bonus of PLN 24.2 million, and his total salary was PLN 25.5 million. Thus, he broke the record of earnings among the presidents of Polish listed companies, and – as Business Insider notes, Kiciński still has a bonus for 2021 of PLN 4.4 million to collect.

Last year’s employees did not receive record wages. In 2021, the average salary at CD Projekt Red was PLN 8 008 net. As Business Insider notes, in the gaming industry, People Can Fly studio (the creators of the game Outriders) pays better, where in 2021 employees collected an average of PLN 10,170 net.
Wages in CD Projekcie fell by as much as 53.8 percent in 2021. compared to the previous year. Again, this is mainly due to the fact that the company’s employees (unlike the management board) received their premiere for the sale of Cyberpunk 2077 already in 2020.
Throughout 2021. CD Projekt generated a net profit of PLN 208.91 million. For comparison, in 2020 (when Cyberpunk 2077 sales were breaking records) it was PLN 1.16 billion.
The total sales revenues of the CD Projekt Red segment in 2021 amounted to PLN 701 739 thousand. PLN and was by 63.0 percent. lower than the value generated in 2020. The difference between the current and the previous year is the result of the premiere sale of the game ‘Cyberpunk 2077’, released in the fourth quarter of 2020.
