The expert advised turning off Wi-Fi and Bluetooth so as not to overheat the phone in the heat
Denis Kuvikov, director of the SafeNet regional engineering center of the National Technology Initiative, warned Russians about the dangers of using a smartphone in hot weather. He told RIA Novosti about this.
“If the mobile device is powered by a lithium-ion or lithium polymer battery, which are the most common types of batteries, you may encounter a thermal surge phenomenon that can lead to spontaneous combustion of the battery,” the expert explained.
Kuvikov gave a number of recommendations for keeping the battery in a safe condition. First, according to him, you should turn off Bluetooth, GPS and preferably Wi-Fi, as the device is constantly searching for a network and can heat up. He also advised to use the original chargers that are most compatible with the smartphone model.
The expert spoke about the method of cooling the gadget after overheating. According to him, you should remove the protective case from the phone, turn off mobile Internet and close applications, and then hide it in a cool place.
Earlier, the Russians were called the hidden features of smartphones. For example, safe mode for Android smartphones in the presence of viruses.
