CIRP: iPhone 13 was Apple’s most popular smartphone in March 2022
Analysts at Consumer Intelligence Research Partners (CIRP) named the most popular Apple smartphones on the market. This is reported by the publication 9to5mac.
At the end of March 2022, the iPhone 13 was the world’s top seller among all other Apple smartphones. The share of the base flagship was 38 percent. This is the highest figure that a particular model of the American brand has had in the past few years.
“Four models, including the 13, 13 Pro, 13 Pro Max and 13 mini, accounted for almost three-quarters of sales in March,” the authors of the study noted. A year ago, iPhone 12 series devices had a share of 61 percent. It was also recorded that compact Apple phones are not popular – the iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 13 mini accounted for about three percent of sales each.
The combined share of the iPhone XR, iPhone 11 and iPhone SE second generation was about 15 percent. This suggests that old phones remain in demand. This is due to the appearance of refurbished smartphones on the market and the popularity of trade-in.
Earlier, insiders said that Apple will stop producing and selling the iPhone 11 after the announcement of the new generation of flagships. At the same time, consumers have become more interested in the 2019 model, preferring it instead of the iPhone SE.
