TechRadar: iPhone 14 selfie quality will increase slightly

In his Twitter the analyst said that all Apple smartphones planned for the fall will come with an updated selfie camera. This component will receive an autofocus function, and the camera will also differ in aperture with a value of ƒ / 1.9.
“Autofocus support and an updated aperture value can provide a better shallow depth of field effect for selfies or portrait mode,” Ko explained the value of the upgrade. In comparison, the front camera of the iPhone 13 has a fixed focus and an aperture of ƒ/2.2.
According to TechRadar journalists, they are surprised by the fact that Apple has not yet released a smartphone that has an autofocus selfie camera. The authors noted that this feature is useful, but not vital: “As a rule, you hold your phone at the same distance from your face every time you take a picture.” Experts concluded that the camera upgrade will not lead to a dramatic improvement in the quality of the selfie.
At the end of March, Ming-Chi Ko announced that Apple had finally abandoned the idea of releasing a smartphone with a built-in Touch ID fingerprint sensor. According to an insider, an iPhone with a fingerprint sensor built into the screen will not hit the market until at least 2025.
