Anonymous group declares cyber warfare against Russia. Hackers promised that they would try to make life difficult for the Russian authorities, propaganda media and companies associated with the regime. And it actually does.

Hundreds of thousands of Gazprom’s e-mails stolen and shared

The hackers have now reported that they have managed to break into Gazprom-controlled company Gazprom Linde Engineering, which is a joint venture of the Russian government giant and the German company Linde. The company specializes in the design of oil refineries and other buildings for the processing of oil and gas.

The attack and the theft of data was made by the DDoSecrets group operating within Anonymous. As hackers declare, 768,000 were seized. emails sent by both employees and customers of Gazprom Linde Engineering. Traditionally, the data has been made available online and can be downloaded by any internet user. However, you have to be patient (and a lot of space for data) – the package with e-mails weighs a trifle 728 GB.

As Anonymous points out, Gazprom Linde Engineering’s clients have been or are, inter alia, companies such as Gazprom, Gazprom Invest, Gazprom Neft, Linde, Novatek, Tatneft, China National Chemical Engineering, Sojitz and RusChemAlliance.

This is not the first such Anonymous attack

Over the past few weeks, hackers of the famous group have been extremely active every now and then, carrying out new attacks on Russian authorities, public institutions, propaganda media as well as companies and institutions associated with the Russian regime. This week, “Anonymous” also stole 600,000. e-mails belonging, among others to the Russian Ministry of Culture (over 1/3 of all news) and the administration of the city of Blagoveshchensk in eastern Russia.

Earlier, hackers also published a data packet from the Russian Ministry of Defense, and some government websites did not work at all for the next few days. Hackers also claim that they broke into the Central Bank of Russia and monitoring the Kremlin.

which, despite Putin’s war, do not want to withdraw from Russia and still – as the hackers explain – support the regime with their taxes. The victims were, among others Leroy Merlin, Auchan, Decathlon or Nestle.
