Apple’s Dual USB-C Charging Adapter Revealed
Apple has developed an adapter that can charge two devices at the same time. This is reported by the publication 9to5mac.
A new accessory was found on the Apple website – the documentation for the gadget was published in the customer support section, but then it was deleted. According to the disclosed data, Apple has created a universal network adapter that allows you to simultaneously charge two gadgets: the device has two USB-C outputs.
The charger has a power of 35 watts, which will be enough to charge a MacBook, iPhone, iPad or Apple Watch. The accessory supports USB-C Power Delivery technology. “Plug the USB-C cable into any port on the power adapter, extend the electrical prongs (if necessary), then plug the power adapter into a power outlet,” the documentation that was removed from the site noted.
Experts noticed that earlier Apple did not release adapters that would allow you to simultaneously charge several devices at once. The authors mentioned the MagSafe Duo accessory, which is capable of simultaneously charging an iPhone and an Apple Watch, but an adapter is required for the device to work.
Previously interviewed by The Sun, experts warned Apple smartphone owners against using counterfeit chargers. According to them, non-original accessories can lead to fire, electric shock or even death.
