The National Cybersecurity Institute (Incibe) has detected a mass SMS campaign with information to opt for supposed job offers in very advantageous conditions, with the purpose of stealing the data.
The main objective of this campaign is to obtain information from users in order to use it to carry out new frauds, as indicated on Monday by Incibe in a statement. It is not ruled out either that they try to involve the victims in different illegal activities as muleteers.
In all the cases identified, users have been contacted by sending an SMS in which they are provided with information about the alleged conditions of the job offer, without specifying the company that is hiring people or the sender of the message.
Likewise, those potentially interested in participating in the selection process are requested to contact through the WhatsApp messaging application for more data.
