Insiders said that the iPhone 15 will be released without a “monobrow”
In 2023, Apple will release a smartphone without a “monobrow” – the sensors will be hidden under the display. This is reported by the Korean edition of The Elec.
Sources of the publication said that in 2023 Samsung Display will supply Apple with a batch of panels created using under-panel camera (UPC) technology. This will leave the only round hole for the front camera on the iPhone 15 screen – the rest of the Face ID elements will be under the front panel.
Experts call the hidden sensors of the biometric system the main feature of the iPhone 15. It is noted that this technology has already been used by Samsung in the Galaxy Z Fold 3 folding smartphone. However, Korean specialists are currently working on a new version of UPC.
Insiders also found out that displays with a new design will only appear on the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max. The base devices – iPhone 15 and 15 Max – will presumably receive screens with a classic Face ID cutout.
At the end of December, insiders said that in 2023 Apple will release the first smartphone without a tray for a physical SIM card. This feature of the iPhone 15 will be replaced by eSIM, a technology that allows you to record one or more numbers on your phone without being tied to a physical medium.
