Well-known blogger Max Tech demonstrated the insides of the new Apple Mac Studio computer. The video is available on the author’s YouTube channel.
According to the enthusiast, for testing, he purchased three devices with a total value of 17 thousand dollars. The base Mac Studio is priced at $1999 in the US, making it the most expensive computer in Apple’s lineup. The author noted that the device was not easy to disassemble: the case has no screws or latches, for penetration it is necessary to remove the rubber seal at the bottom of the device.
Then, in order to remove all the details of the device, it is necessary to unscrew a large number of screws that hold the components. Having removed the cover, Max Tech showed what the computer consists of – all the parts fit very tightly to each other, which complicates the dismantling of the gadget. “I’m just afraid to collect this thing back,” the blogger joked.
The specialist assessed the size of the M1 Ultra processor – according to him, the chip from Apple has very large dimensions. Upgrading or repairing a component is difficult, since, in particular, the RAM is soldered directly to the processor. The most expensive version of Mac Studio – with a 64-core GPU, 128 gigabytes of RAM and 8 terabytes of internal memory – is priced at $ 7,999 in the US market.
Earlier it became known that the M1 Ultra chip, which comes with Mac Studio, set a performance record in Geekbench. In the benchmark, the processor scored more than 24 thousand points.
