Poland is extending the alert ranks. Until when will CHARLIE-CRP and BRAVO be valid?
“The prime minister has signed orders extending the second alert level (BRAVO) in the Lublin and Podkarpackie voivodeships and the third CRP alert stage (CHARLIE-CRP) throughout the country. The stages will be in force until March 31, 2022, 23:59” – informed RCB on Twitter on Tuesday.
CHARLIE-CRP and BRAVO emergency levels in Poland. What do they mean?
The CHARLIE-CRP third alert level, which has just been extended in Poland, can be introduced “in the event of an event confirming the likely target of an attack”.
It goes, among others o the following threats:
- Threats to the security, security of the Republic of Poland or public order,
- Threats to the security of another state or international organization and posing a potential threat to,
- Threats that threaten the obtaining of reliable and confirmed information about a planned terrorist event on the territory of the Republic of Poland,
- Threats to obtain reliable and confirmed information about a planned terrorist event, the effects of which may affect Polish citizens staying abroad, or Polish institutions or Polish infrastructure located outside the territory of the Republic of Poland.

In turn, the second level of BRAVO may be announced in the event of an increased and foreseeable threat of a terrorist event, but when the specific target of the attack has not been identified.
– CHARLIE-CRP doesn’t require anything from citizens. It is different from the administrators of some institutions or companies: switching to 24h duty, verification of backups and recovery paths, checking emergency procedures, preparing servers for quick shutdown – says one of the experts from Niebezpiecznik.pl in.
