Media journalists noted that a few days after the launch of pre-orders for the new iPhone SE model, it was in short supply. According to the authors, Apple sold out the entire first batch of devices, at the moment, those who wish to purchase an inexpensive device can receive it only at the end of March.

In the material, experts explained the popularity of the device. According to them, first of all, consumers are attracted by the low price, and secondly by improved performance, the presence of 5G and long-term support for updates from Apple. The only serious drawback of the phone was called an outdated design – the device looks like the iPhone 8, released in 2017.

Journalists noted that the third-generation iPhone SE should be in demand among Android users: “iPhone SE is a wolf in sheep’s clothing.” The material says that the second-generation iPhone SE was also popular: according to Omdia, in 2020, Apple sold 24.2 million units of the device, only the iPhone 11 was sold in a large circulation of 64.8 million units.

Apple introduced an updated version of the iPhone SE on March 8. Estimated at $429, the device received a 4.7-inch display, an A15 chip, and support for 5G networks.
