Rospotrebnadzor reported that the manufacturer is obliged to return money for a non-working gadget
Rospotrebnadzor told the Russians about the return of funds for a non-working gadget. This was reported on the website of the department.
It is noted that the manufacturer is obliged to ensure the operation of gadgets sold in Russia, including fitness bracelets, smart watches and household appliances, during the entire service life. Rospotrebnadzor reported that if the service life of a device or gadget is not established, then the manufacturer has such an obligation for ten years from the day the product was transferred to the consumer.
This obligation includes, among other things, the need to organize repairs and the supply of spare parts. The department added that the termination of the software of the product can also be recognized as a significant drawback.
According to Rospotrebnadzor, if a significant flaw in the operation of the gadget appeared within two years from the date of purchase, then the consumer can return the money for a low-quality product. Either the seller or the manufacturer is obliged to pay the funds to him.
Earlier, Citilink representatives said that sales of smartphones in Russia in February 2022 increased by 11 percent compared to the same period last year. The most popular devices were implemented by Apple, Xiaomi and Samsung brands.
