WhatsApp is developing a new feature for iOS that will allow users to conduct surveys within the app’s group chatsan option similar to the one already existing in the Telegram messaging service.
As published WABetaInfothe application has released beta version 22.6.0.70, an update that has been made through the WhatsApp TestFlight program for the iOS system.
With this, changes have been implemented in group chats, where polls can now be carried out through the ‘Create poll’ option. In this section, there is a space to include a question.
From this portal they have announced that these are end-to-end encrypted surveys, so that only the people in these groups will be able to see the question and its results.
This is a feature that is currently under development for Apple’s operating system and it is unknown if it will reach Android devices.
This option to create surveys and questionnaires in chats would be very similar to the one present in Telegram since 2018, a tool that was updated at the beginning of 2020 with new ways to carry them out and the possibility of creating ‘trivia’ type contests.
Other novelties that WhatsApp has introduced in recent days has been the animation format in reactions to messages and that will soon be available in WhatsApp beta for Android and iOS. In addition, WABetaInfo has reported that the application is working on a alternative to react to messages in the beta app for desktop.
In future updates, the camera tab, located in the upper left corner of the application interface, will also disappear. This button will be replaced by the Group icon for easier access to communities.yes
Finally, this messaging service is launching new settings to manage notifications of reactions to messages and the ability to pause and resume voice memos in the latest WhatsApp beta updates for Android. (I)
