Authoritative insider Ming-Chi Kuo revealed the details of the new iPhone SE a few days before the presentation of the device. The analyst stated this in his Twitter.
According to the specialist, the new Apple smartphone will go into mass production in March. Until the end of 2022, the company plans to produce about 25-30 million units. Ming-Chi Ko became aware that the model will be released in three versions – with 64, 128 and 256 gigabytes of internal memory. At the same time, all current Apple phones – devices of the iPhone 13 series – have at least 128 gigabytes of memory.
The analyst also confirmed the information that the third-generation iPhone SE will receive a new Apple A15 Bionic chip with support for fifth-generation networks. The device will support 5G connectivity using mmWave and Sub-6GHz standards. The device will be released in white, black and red body colors.
In conclusion, the insider noted that the updated device will be released in the same design as the current iPhone SE, which appeared in the spring of 2020. It follows from this that the inexpensive phone will receive a 4.7-inch display with horizontal frames and a Home button with a Touch ID fingerprint sensor.
Apple’s spring presentation, at which the company should show the iPhone SE smartphone, iPad Air tablet and Mac computer, will take place on March 8. According to Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman, the SE phone could be priced at $200.
