Only a few dozen hours have passed since the declaration that the Starlink internet would work in Ukraine, and the promise of the owner of Tesla has already been fulfilled. Ukraine’s deputy prime minister Mykhailo Fedorov confirmed on Monday that the terminals necessary to receive and transmit the signal have already reached the country.

“Starlink is here. Thanks, Elon Musku,” he wrote on Twitter. In the photo you can see a truck filled with equipment.
The first inhabitants of the country have already had the opportunity to see that the satellite internet actually works. Oleg Kutkov, an engineer and programmer, posted the results of the first speed measurements on the web.
“SpaceX Starlink works in Kiev, Ukraine! I put the antenna outside the window without even setting it up,” he wrote on social media. The published screenshot shows that the download speed is over 130 Mbps, the upload speed is almost Mbps, and the ping is 77 ms. The connection was made with the iPhone SE.
Elon Musk reacts quickly to the request of the Ukrainian authorities
Fedorov turned to Musk with a direct request to start the service on Saturday. “When you try to colonize Mars, Russia tries to take Ukraine. When your rockets successfully return from space, Russian rockets attack Ukrainian citizens. Please share the Starlink system with Ukraine,” the politician wrote on Twitter.
Elon Musk’s reply came quickly. “The Starlink service is active in Ukraine. Terminals on the way,” he wrote back the same day.
