Analyst of the Angara Security operational monitoring group Tatiana Lynova warned the Russians about applications that steal personal data. Her words are quoted by the Prime agency.
Lynova noted that the presence of hidden malware can lead to the leakage of messages, photos, contacts, correspondence and banking data.
The expert emphasized that spyware most often requests unreasonable permissions to access and manage various functions and files of a smartphone. It could be any app, she says, including a flashlight, a photo editor, or a calorie counting app.
Earlier it was reported that applications for a limited audience became available on Apple smartphones. Apple has added a new feature for developers, allowing them to release apps that target a narrow range of users. Secret programs will not be visible to other visitors to the App Store, nor will they be displayed in various categories and ratings.
