Listed the most unusual smartphones

SlashGear journalists have compiled a list of smartphones with the most unusual design or feature set. The devices are listed on the media website.

First on the list was the LG Wing, a flagship device with a rotating screen. “The rotating second screen is more like a joke than a useful top-tier smartphone for everyday use,” the authors emphasized. Samsung Galaxy Beam was included in the list for the presence of a projector, Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom – for a full-fledged camera lens.

“When most people think about high technology, Russia is not the first to come to mind,” the journalists noted, emphasizing that the YotaPhone, the first smartphone with a screen based on electronic ink, was created in the Russian Federation. The Palm 2018 was hailed as a device that “brought new glory to its manufacturer”, Motorola Flipout was one of the first phones to receive a new type of foldable design, LG DoublePlay was named an innovative device with a second screen.

The Motorola Backflip was praised for its unique form factor: “The company decided to try something unique – they chose a hinge.” The Kyocera Echo phone was included in the list for its foldable design and dual displays, the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play for its built-in gamepad and gaming features.

Earlier, Mozillion agency specialists listed the most anticipated smartphones of 2022. The list was topped by the future flagship Apple iPhone 14, the premium phone Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra and the third-generation budget device iPhone SE.
