Chinese company named a robot as its worker of 2021

In February 2021, the Chinese real estate company Vanke hired an artificial intelligence worker. She was the company’s employee of the year.

Cui Xiaopan was developed with Xiaoice (Microsoft’s artificial intelligence system) and works in the collection area, taking care of collecting customer debts.

Through the Weibo platform, the company published a photograph of the worker and did not ignore the criticism of this decision.

Xiaopan works 24 hours every day and has achieved a 91.44% success rate in collecting late payments in the year.

“He has shown his abilities hundreds of thousands of times more than humans,” Yu Liang, chairman of the board of directors of Vanke, which has 140,000 workers, wrote online.

In China it is not the first time that robots have been incorporated to replace the work of humans, however, the criticism surrounding this decision is because it is considered that choosing an annual worker is a motivation for the rest. (I)
