RTV subscription 2022. Payment for the whole year in advance is the most profitable

decided that the rates for an RTV subscription in 2022 will not increase. However, they will be higher than in recent years. The currently applicable fees were increased at the beginning of 2021, for the first time in four years.

Fee for an RTV subscription? How much is?

The owners of the radio itself have to pay PLN 7.50 a month. People who also have (or only a TV set) must pay a monthly fee of PLN 24.50.

RTV subscription 2022. Is it worth paying for the whole year in advance?

You can save by paying the fee in advance. The longer the period we decide to pay, the greater the discount will be. The largest 10% discount applies when paying for 12 months. The remaining amounts after the discounts are:

• For a radio subscription:
  – PLN 14.60 for two months,
  – PLN 21.60 for three months,
  – PLN 42.80 for six months,
  – PLN 81.00 for the calendar year.
• For a radio and television subscription:
  – PLN 47.50 for two months,
  – PLN 70.60 for three months,
  – PLN 139.70 for six months,
  – PLN 264.60 for the calendar year.

Who has to pay the RTV subscription, who is exempt?

As already mentioned, the fee must be paid by people who have a radio or TV set. However, there are a number of exclusions that result in 3.7 million people being dismissed in Poland. They don’t have to pay it:

• people over 75 years old,
• people over 60 and receiving a pension whose monthly value does not exceed half of the average salary,
• people with 1st disability group,
• persons completely incapable of,
• persons with a significant degree of disability or permanent or temporary total incapacity to work on a farm,
• deaf people with complete deafness or bilateral hearing impairment,
• blind people whose visual acuity does not exceed 15%;
• unemployed people,
• combatants who are war or military invalids or their families,
• persons who are entitled to cash benefits, e.g. permanent allowance, periodic allowance or pre-retirement allowance.

Responsible for the enforcement of the fine, which may require payment of the subscription up to five years back. We have seven days to pay the arrears after the request for payment. After this time, the tax office takes over the case. The issuance of an enforceable title means that the bailiff will be able to withdraw a specified amount from the debtor’s account.
