César Carballo asks that it be mandatory to teach cardiopulmonary resuscitation in schools

On the occasion of World Heart Arrest Day, which takes place today Saturday, October 16, the emergency doctor and health communicator, César Carballo, has sent a clear message.

The doctor has explained why it is vital to know how to do the cardiopulmonary resuscitation and has asked that it be compulsory in educational centers.

“One in four people who die every day could be resuscitated through effective cardiopulmonary resuscitation“, he assured via Twitter.

In this sense, Carballo has added that “training children in schools should be compulsory and regulated “.

The doctor has attached to his publication in networks an infographic of the Spanish Society of Emergency and Emergency Medicine. The image below explains the ten fundamental points that can save lives.

The General Council of Official Medical Associations warns that every minute of delay in cardiopulmonary resuscitation decreases the chances of survival by 10%. In this sense, he insists on the importance of early care.

In Spain every year 45,000 people die from cardiac arrest, so knowing how to do resuscitation maneuvers is essential, hence the motto of this World Day: ‘All the citizens of the world with their hands can save a life‘.
