Rostec will release bracelets for looking after people

The Ruselectronics holding of the Rostec state corporation will release tracker bracelets for remote monitoring of people. The device is based on LoRaWAN (Long Range Wide Area Network) Internet of Things technology. This was reported on the website of the state corporation.

The bracelet will allow remote supervision of children and the elderly. LoRaWAN protocols provide the determination of coordinates in closed rooms and even underground.

The tracker can work up to 160 hours without recharging. The device will be equipped with a pulse oximeter, an SOS button and a removal sensor. The bracelet will transmit data about health status and location to the map application of the service “Don’t Get Lost!”

The production of new devices is organized by a special design and technological bureau for relay technology (SKTB RT, part of Ruselectronics). The enterprise will act as an industrial partner of the project “Do not get lost!” According to the interim general director of SKTB RT, Sergei Borovoy, the first batch of trackers is planned to be released this year.

LoRaWAN technology allows you to create long-range IoT networks. Also, LoRaWAN-based devices require less power than sensors for Wi-Fi and 4G networks, which increases battery life.

Earlier, M.Video-Eldorado analysts named the most popular smartwatches and fitness trackers in Russia. Apple Watch and Xiaomi Mi Band have become the top-selling devices in their respective categories.
