Development of Psychonauts 2 took five years. At one point it even seemed that the project would be deleted. Fortunately, Microsoft appeared along the way, adding a bag of dollars to the production budget. And this decision turned out to be a bull’s eye.

Miejsce 4. Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart (PS5)

The dozen or so hours that I have spent with the new installment of Ratchet and Clank is a real ride without a grip. Rift Apart begins with an earthquake and then the tension rises.

By playing a game Insomniac, I had the impression that I participated in a high-budget Pixar animation. Character models, textures and lighting effects make an amazing impression. And the title rifts along which we travel between worlds are a real show of the power of the PlayStation 5 console.

Driving a Ferrari, BMW or Lamborghini, we will cross the desert, sandy coast and dense jungle, visit picturesque Mexican towns and drive to the very top of the volcano.

These visual fountains are accompanied by dynamically changing seasons and arguably the best weather effects in the history of games. If you still haven’t played the new Forza, it’s time to catch up.

Miejsce 1. Disco Elysium: Final Cut (PC, XONE, XSX, PS4, PS5)

The PC version of Disco Elysium premiered in 2019, but the game debuted on consoles only two years later. And when it made its debut, it absorbed me completely.

We are dealing here with a combination of a thoroughbred RPG with the genre visual novel. Disco Elysium stands out from the crowd with its extensive narrative layer. There are thousands of dialogue lines in the game, and one improperly conducted conversation may end in the death of the main character.

An excellent plot, flesh and blood characters, original graphics and beautiful music made me sadly say goodbye to Revachol after 50 hours. No other game has stayed in my memory for so long.
