Driving factory for the army: The agreement with the American company MIC Industries on the purchase of UBM machines was signed by the Polish army in January this year. On Monday, it took place Official system presentationin which the head of the National Defense Ministry Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz and Deputy Minister Cezary Tomczyk took part. Ultimately, the machines are to reach the engineering troops in Inowrocław and Jarocin, where they will be used mainly to quickly construct the infrastructure associated with the East shield.
“Fundamental investment”: “This machine can be described as a factory of shelters on wheels, which is able to produce steel load -bearing elements of buildings (e.g. hangars, halls, warehouses, shelter) within a few days. Thanks to this equipment, we once again accelerate when it comes to the implementation of the #Tarczawschód program. This contract, this contract, worth several hundred million zlotysis a fundamental investment in Polish security, “explained Cezary Tomczyk in an entry posted on the portal X.
How does UBM work? “The machine produces in a very short time shelter, warehouses, hangars. Prefabricated raw materials, processes them. It is Such a large printerso to speak, which is able to build something in a very short time that for the East shield, and in fact for many places in Poland, for our security, it is absolutely necessary ” – explained in turn Władysław Kosiniak -Kamysz during the Monday presentation of the system.
A unique solution. The exclusive producer of UBM is the American company Mic Industries. This system has been adapted to road, sea and air transport, thanks to which the equipment can hit any place in the world. – Thanks to Polish military scientists, it was possible to patent elements that will be combined with this American machine. So Polish technological thought, a Polish patent with American technology, will make us de facto acquire a shelter factory – explained the deputy head of the defense ministry in the “Facts after Facts” program on TVN24.
East shield: Prime Minister Donald Tusk announced the launch of the “Taca Wschód” program in May 2024. Within it will allocate PLN 10 billion to strengthen security on the Polish border, including for the construction of fortifications. – We have already started work. So that the Polish border was safe in peacetime, and that it would be an insurmountable border for an opponent during the war. We called this National Plan of Defense and Dispensing the code name “Targe of East”. It will be a shield that will protect us against attacks from the East, will primarily have the task of scaring the enemy. It will be a strategy for repelling the war from our borders – explained the head of government.
