Lenovo introduced the concept of a laptop with a folding vertical display
The Lenovo Chinese corporation showed the concept of a laptop with a folding 18.1-inch screen. It is reported by The Verge.
The ThinkBook Flip model was announced at the MWC 2025 exhibition in Barcelona. The presented device consists of three parts, in two of which a flexible display is installed. In an unfolded state, the vertical screen of the devices has a diagonal of 18.1 inches with a resolution of 2000×2664 pixels, in the folded one when part of the display is turned back – the main screen has a diagonal of 13.1 inches.
A hybrid gadget can also be used as a tablet if you add part of the screen and keyboard with each other. The screen has a touch layer throughout the area, also on the device you can call a virtual keyboard. ThinkBook Flip is positioned as an apparatus for work and rest.
The concept of a portable computer has an Intel Ultra 7, 32 gigabyt of RAM LPDR5X, PCIe SSD drive, Thunderbolt 4 connectors and fingerprint scanner. The device is equipped with a webcam, there is a keyboard backlight.
The cost of the device is not disclosed – perhaps the laptop will never go on sale. However, journalists noticed that the laptop has the same OLED panel as the ThinkBook Plus Gen 6 model. The last computer will be on sale in the summer, its cost will be 3.5 thousand dollars, or about 312 thousand rubles.
